Description

Deslorastamine syrup (Desloratadine 0.5 mg/1 ml) is non-sedative H1 antihistamine, used to treat allergies, it has a rapid onset of action, it improves patients quality of life (better sleep & performance in daily activities), cause no drowsiness or sedation, it has a long duration 24 hrs. It is very effective from the 1st dose (improve pruritis score by 45% after 1st dose), effective in relieving nasal congestion, also neither food nor grapefruit juice had an effect on its bioavailability & Deslorastamine has an amazing safety profile

Indications & Uses

Deslorastamine is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with Allergic rhinitis and Urticaria

Dosage & Administration

- Children 4 – 5 years: 2.5 ml (1.25 mg) once daily

- Children 6 through 11 years of age 5 ml (2.5 mg) Deslorastamine syrup once day

- In adults and adolescents (12 years of age and over): 10 ml (5 mg) Deslorastamine syrup once a day

Contraindication & Cautions

Hypersensitivity to the active substance, to any of the excipients, or to loratadine

What do you have to consider before using Deslorastamine syrup?

Do not take Deslorastamine syrup if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to desloratadine, loratadine, or to any of the other ingredients, Deslorastamine syrup is indicated for children 4 through 11 years of age, adolescents (12 years of age and older), and adults, including the elderly
Take special care with Deslorastamine syrup if you have poor kidney function, If this applies to you, or if you are not sure, please check with your doctor before taking Deslorastamine syrup Taking other medicines
There are no known interactions of Deslorastamine syrup with other medicines
Taking Deslorastamine syrup with food and drink
Deslorastamine syrup may be taken with or without a meal
Pregnancy and breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or nursing a baby, taking Deslorastamine syrup is not recommended Driving and using machines
At the recommended dose, Deslorastamine syrup is not expected to cause you to be drowsy or less alert. However, very rarely some people experience drowsiness, which may affect their ability to drive or use machines

How should it be stored?

Keep out of the reach and sight of children, do not freeze, Store in the original package, Do not use Deslorastamine syrup after the expiry date which is stated on the bottle. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month, tell your pharmacist if you notice any change in the appearance
